It's nothing he doesn't already know - nothing he hasn't already analyzed and reanalyzed and mulled over in showers and post-sex euphoria. There's a part of Tony Stark that's rotting.




His name's in lights and he's got a swagger in his step - he's on a high and maybe a little drunk, but that makes the stars shine even brighter. He's glowing and there are eager ladies on each arm and he thinks he might be in the mood to have some fun with them tonight.

He's forgetting - he tends to do that on days that end with y - and it's the best fucking feeling. Pepper's talking professional with a reporter, the way she's holding her hands a sign that she's embarrassed for him and the company. She's trying to pull it all together, his sweet Pepper. Her fingernails keep the sway of the stock market steady.

She's shining, too, always the second star to Stark Industries, and he can't stop looking at her.
